Q: What is sexual dysfunction?
A: Sexual dysfunction in general is difficulty during any stage of the sexual response cycle.  Specifically those stages are desire, excitement, plateau, and orgasm.  This difficulty will result in an individual or a couple not being able to enjoy sexual activity.

Q: Why don't I want to have sex?
A: This question is a common question from both males and females.  There are many reasons why individuals lack the desire to have sex that can be primary issues or secondary issues.  After a complete blood workup is done (and if everything is within normal limits) things that should be looked at are stress levels, attraction to current partner, relationship issues, partner sexual dysfunction, trauma, depression, fatigue, medication, previous sex education, religion, and family patterns with regard to sexuality.  It is important to note that each case is different and the list just presented are just issues that need to be explored.

Q: What is normal?
A: This question and variations of it (am I normal, is that normal, etc) are questions that are asked frequently.  The word normal is relevant to those who view it as relevant.  Essentially, what is normal for one person may not be normal for another.  It is because of this that the word normal is usually not used.  It is important to live our lives to what we consider the best of our ability.  The word normal is a comparison word that will keep clients in a constant state of not being their true selves (and accepting themselves).
